First seen Feb 18, 2026 · Last updated May 24, 2026 · Updated 12 times
Summary
This study uses a special MRI technique to measure the amount of saturated fat in breast tissue without needing a biopsy. Researchers want to see if women with breast cancer have higher levels of saturated fat in their breasts compared to women with non-cancerous lumps. About 190 postmenopausal women will take part. The goal is to better understand how breast fat may be linked to cancer development.
