New approach aims to reduce scarring and boost confidence for breast cancer survivors
NCT ID NCT05263362
Summary
This study looked at how different combinations of breast cancer surgery and radiation techniques affect scarring and cosmetic results. Researchers followed 775 women who had breast-conserving therapy between 2016 and 2020 to understand which treatment approaches lead to better appearance and quality of life. The goal was to identify methods that minimize tissue hardening and scarring while improving how patients feel about their bodies after treatment.
