New study aims to ease pain after breast cancer surgery

Summary

This study compares two types of nerve blocks to see which provides better pain relief after breast cancer surgery that includes removing lymph nodes. Sixty women aged 18-65 will be randomly assigned to receive one of the two blocks. The goal is to reduce pain and the need for strong painkillers like opioids in the first 24 hours after surgery.
