Brain wave clues may predict anesthesia recovery speed

NCT ID NCT07254975

First seen Jan 05, 2026 · Last updated May 19, 2026 · Updated 27 times

Summary

This study watches 70 adults aged 35-50 during planned surgery to see if certain brain wave patterns (alpha waves) are linked to how fast they wake up from anesthesia. Participants will have their brain activity recorded with a standard monitor, and their recovery time will be measured. The goal is to better understand anesthesia, not to test a new treatment.
