First seen Jan 05, 2026 · Last updated May 14, 2026 · Updated 25 times

Summary

This observational study will monitor brain activity in 70 adults aged 35-50 during elective surgery under general anesthesia. Researchers want to see if certain brain wave patterns (alpha waves) are linked to how quickly patients wake up after anesthesia is stopped. No new treatments or drugs are being tested—only standard monitoring and measurements are used.
