First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 24, 2026 · Updated 27 times
Summary
This study tested whether brain stimulation works better when people are actively using the brain area being stimulated. 51 healthy adults received transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS) while doing either a thinking task or a simple perception task. Researchers measured brain activity changes using EEG right after stimulation to see if the task made a difference.
