Summary
This study tested whether brain stimulation works better when a person is actively thinking or doing a task. Fifty-one healthy adults received transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS) while either solving a cognitive problem or doing a perceptual task. The researchers measured brain activity with EEG right after to see if the stimulation had a stronger effect.
