Can thinking about moving your fingers, plus a brain zap, help you learn faster?
NCT ID NCT02813291
Summary
This study explored whether combining two methods—mentally practicing a movement and a safe, mild form of brain stimulation—could help people learn a complex finger sequence. It involved 64 healthy young and older adults who were randomly assigned to receive either real or fake stimulation while they mentally rehearsed the movements. The goal was to understand if this combination could improve learning, especially for older adults, by measuring performance and brain activity.
