First seen May 05, 2026 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 4 times

Summary

This study tests whether a gentle, non-invasive brain stimulation (tDCS) combined with cognitive training can improve thinking skills and mood in people with mild cognitive impairment or early dementia. Fifty participants will receive both real and placebo stimulation in two separate treatment cycles. The goal is to see if this approach can ease symptoms like memory loss and depression.
