New scan aims to solve critical brain cancer puzzle
NCT ID NCT07238322
Summary
This study is testing how well a special type of PET scan can tell the difference between a brain tumor coming back and harmless changes caused by previous cancer treatments like radiation. Researchers will analyze scan data from 400 people with glioma who had the scan as part of their regular care. The goal is to see if this scan is more accurate than standard MRI scans at making this important distinction.
