New scan aims to solve brain cancer puzzle: real tumor or just scarring?

NCT ID NCT07238322

Summary

This study is testing how well a special type of PET scan can tell the difference between a brain tumor (glioma) growing back and harmless changes caused by previous treatments like radiation. Researchers will analyze existing scan data from 400 patients who had the scan as part of their regular care. The goal is to improve diagnosis accuracy so doctors can better plan the next steps for patients.
