New imaging test may reveal hidden brain tumor activity after radiation

NCT ID NCT06048094

First seen May 21, 2026 · Last updated May 24, 2026 · Updated 1 time

Summary

This study is testing whether a special PET scan using 18F-Fluciclovine can help doctors see how brain tumors respond to a precise type of radiation called stereotactic radiosurgery (SRS). About 46 adults with brain metastases (tumors that spread from other cancers) will get the PET scan before and after SRS. The goal is to find out if this scan can be a reliable tool to measure tumor changes, which could improve future treatment decisions.
