Can a quick brain game predict Post-Surgery confusion?
NCT ID NCT06245005
Summary
This study tested whether a short, 6-game brain exercise on a laptop is a practical way to measure older patients' mental sharpness before major surgery. Researchers wanted to see if the game scores could help predict who might experience sudden confusion (delirium) after their operation. The goal was to gather information to guide future research on preventing this common post-surgery complication.
