Scientists train Kids' own immune cells to hunt brain cancer

NCT ID NCT03334305

Summary

This early-stage study tested whether a personalized vaccine made from a child's own tumor could safely train their immune system to fight an aggressive brain cancer called high-grade glioma. The treatment involved two parts: a vaccine injected under the skin and a separate infusion of specially trained immune cells. The main goal was to check if this combined approach was safe and could trigger an immune attack against the cancer.
