New hope for bladder cancer patients: avoiding bladder removal

Summary
This study tests a treatment plan for people with a type of muscle-invasive bladder cancer that has unusual cells (variant histology). Participants first receive chemotherapy with or without immunotherapy, then a combination of radiation and low-dose chemo to try to save the bladder. The goal is to see if this approach is feasible and effective, comparing results to historical data from patients with standard bladder cancer.
