Which gum-friendly material works best after tooth removal?

NCT ID NCT07589751

First seen May 21, 2026 · Last updated May 24, 2026 · Updated 1 time

Summary

This study looks at two different collagen materials used to preserve bone after a tooth is pulled. Dentists sometimes leave these materials exposed in the mouth, where saliva and bacteria can affect healing. Sixty adults will be randomly assigned to one of the two materials or natural healing, and researchers will measure bone changes, contamination, and patient comfort to help guide better treatment choices.
