Can a yeast fiber pill supercharge your flu shot?
NCT ID NCT05074303
Summary
This study tested whether taking a daily supplement made from baker's yeast (called beta-glucan) could help improve the body's immune response to the annual flu shot. For six weeks, 78 healthy adults aged 50 and older took either the supplement or a placebo pill while getting their flu vaccine. Researchers measured antibody levels in the blood to see if the supplement made the vaccine work better.
