Can a yeast fiber pill supercharge your flu shot?

NCT ID NCT05074303

Summary

This study tested whether taking a daily supplement called beta-glucan, a fiber from baker's yeast, could improve the body's immune response to the seasonal flu vaccine. It involved 78 healthy adults aged 50 and older. Participants took either the supplement or a placebo pill for six weeks and received their flu shot during that time, with researchers measuring antibody levels in their blood.
