New hope for lung scarring after transplant: belumosudil trial launches

Summary

This phase 2 trial tests whether the drug belumosudil can help people who develop bronchiolitis obliterans syndrome (BOS), a type of lung scarring, after a stem cell transplant. The study will enroll 45 participants with new or early-stage BOS. Participants will take belumosudil along with standard treatments like steroids and antibiotics to see if lung function improves or stabilizes.
