NCT ID NCT02906007

First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 30 times

Summary

This study looked at how safe and effective the drug bedaquiline is for children and teens with a hard-to-treat form of tuberculosis (TB) that is resistant to the antibiotic rifampin. Fifty-four participants, some also living with HIV, received bedaquiline along with their personalized TB treatment for 24 weeks. The goal was to find the right dose and monitor any side effects, helping doctors better treat young patients with this serious infection.
