New MRI study reveals how balloon treatment reshapes heart and lung function
NCT ID NCT07299227
First seen Jan 04, 2026 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 26 times
Summary
This study looks at how a procedure called balloon pulmonary angioplasty (BPA) affects the heart and lungs of people with a rare blood clot condition called CTEPH. Researchers will use advanced MRI scans before and after treatment to measure changes in blood flow and heart function. The goal is to better understand how BPA helps, not to test a new treatment. About 60 adults will take part.
