New cancer drug combo tested for safety in advanced tumors
NCT ID NCT00600496
Summary
This early-stage study aims to find out if combining an experimental oral drug called AZD6244 with standard chemotherapy is safe and tolerable for people with advanced solid tumors like breast, colon, lung, and kidney cancer. Researchers will test different doses to find the highest one patients can handle without severe side effects. They will also measure how the body absorbs and processes the drug combination and check for any early signs that the treatment might help shrink tumors.
