Summary
This study tested a device called auditory mirror earmuffs that swaps sounds between your left and right ears. The goal was to see if this sound-flipping trick could reduce the annoyance and loudness of tinnitus. 56 adults with chronic tinnitus (lasting over 3 months) took part. The researchers measured changes in tinnitus severity using questionnaires and rating scales.
