Heart MRI may help decide who needs a heart monitor after a mysterious stroke
NCT ID NCT06047782
First seen Jan 21, 2026 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 16 times
Summary
This study looks at 100 people who had a stroke with no clear cause. They will get a heart MRI to measure scar tissue in the left atrium, which might lead to atrial fibrillation. The goal is to see if the MRI can predict who will develop atrial fibrillation, so doctors can better decide who needs an implantable heart monitor.
