Heart MRI may predict hidden stroke risk
NCT ID NCT06047782
First seen Jan 21, 2026 · Last updated May 05, 2026 · Updated 13 times
Summary
This study is testing whether a special MRI of the heart can help doctors decide which stroke patients need a small heart monitor implant. About 100 adults who had a stroke with no clear cause will get a heart MRI and a monitor. The goal is to see if scar tissue in the heart's upper chamber is linked to future atrial fibrillation, which could lead to better, less invasive care.
