New combo therapy aims to stall Hard-to-Treat prostate cancer

NCT ID NCT05168618

First seen May 19, 2026 · Last updated May 21, 2026 · Updated 1 time

Summary

This study tests two drugs, cabozantinib and atezolizumab, in 33 men with a type of advanced prostate cancer that has spread and no longer responds to hormone therapy. Cabozantinib blocks enzymes that help cancer grow, while atezolizumab boosts the immune system to attack tumors. The goal is to see if this combination can control the disease and slow its progression.
