Summary
This study tests whether empagliflozin, a diabetes medication, can improve artery stiffness in 50 veterans with obesity but without diabetes. Participants will take either the drug or a placebo for 12 weeks, and researchers will measure changes in arterial health. The goal is to see if this drug can reduce cardiovascular risk in this population.
