Scientists probe aortic tissue to predict deadly ruptures
NCT ID NCT07422129
First seen Feb 23, 2026 · Last updated Apr 29, 2026 · Updated 8 times
Summary
This study looks at the strength of the aorta (the main artery) in people having heart surgery for an aortic aneurysm or dissection. Researchers will test tissue samples to see if certain patient traits are linked to weaker spots that could burst. The goal is to better understand risk, not to test a new treatment. About 250 adults will take part.
