Do men and women wake differently from anesthesia?

NCT ID NCT06003127

Summary

This small pilot study aims to understand if biological sex affects how quickly people wake up from a specific anesthesia drug. Researchers will also test a new method to measure brain activity during sedation without disturbing the patient. The study involves 12 healthy volunteers who will receive the anesthesia drug while researchers monitor their recovery.
