Scientists probe the Brain's awakening from Drug-Induced sleep

Summary
This small pilot study aims to understand if men and women wake up differently from a common anesthesia drug called dexmedetomidine. Researchers will enroll 12 healthy volunteers to measure how long it takes them to become responsive after the drug is stopped. They will also test a special brain monitoring technique to see brain complexity during sedation without waking the person up.
