Scientists probe sex differences in waking up from sedation

Summary
This pilot study in 12 healthy volunteers aims to see if biological sex influences how quickly people recover from a sedative called dexmedetomidine. Researchers will also test whether a combination of brain stimulation and EEG can measure brain complexity during sedation without waking participants. The goal is to better understand consciousness and recovery, not to treat any disease.
