First seen Dec 16, 2025 · Last updated May 22, 2026 · Updated 22 times
Summary
This early-stage study at Stanford looked at how a nutritional supplement called alpha-ketoglutarate is absorbed into the eyes of people with age-related eye diseases. 17 participants took the supplement by mouth, and researchers measured changes in eye fluid and proteins. The goal was to understand how the supplement works in the eye, not to test a cure.
