AI steps into the ER to hunt hidden hepatitis c
NCT ID NCT07406490
Summary
This study is testing a new computer tool designed to help emergency room doctors spot patients who are at high risk for Hepatitis C and HIV. The tool uses a smart algorithm to analyze patient information and pop up an alert on the doctor's screen, suggesting testing. Researchers want to see if this targeted approach finds more infections than current screening methods, which could help more people get diagnosed and treated.
