AI steps into the ER to hunt for hidden hepatitis c
NCT ID NCT07406490
Summary
This study aims to test a new computer tool designed to help emergency room doctors identify patients at high risk for Hepatitis C and HIV. The tool uses a smart algorithm to analyze patient records and pop up an alert for doctors, suggesting they offer a screening test. Researchers will compare this targeted approach to standard screening methods to see if it helps diagnose more people who might otherwise go untreated.
