Summary
This study tested whether a simple, portable ECG device connected to a smartphone could help screen close relatives of people with dilated cardiomyopathy (a weakened heart muscle). 119 adults participated, including patients and their first-degree relatives. The goal was to see how many relatives completed the mobile ECG and follow-up heart checks, and whether the AI could detect low heart function. The approach aims to make screening easier and more accessible.
