Computer learns to spot when home patients are in trouble
NCT ID NCT05045742
Summary
This study tested whether a computer program could learn to predict when patients receiving hospital-level care at home might get sicker. Researchers used past patient data to train the program and then checked how well it worked on a new group of over 500 patients. The goal was to create a smarter alert system that could warn doctors of real problems while reducing unnecessary alarms.
