Summary

This study tests whether a smartphone-based AI chatbot can help people aged 65 and older improve their diet and physical activity. Researchers will measure how acceptable and easy the chatbot is to use, and whether it leads to changes like eating more fruits and vegetables or walking more. The study involves 84 participants and is currently recruiting.

What this could mean

Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only, not medical advice or a prediction.

Active substance
AI-based chatbot program
What this could lead to
If it works, this could point toward a low-cost, scalable tool to help older adults adopt healthier habits.
What could go wrong
This is a small pilot study with only 84 participants, so results may not apply to everyone. The chatbot's effectiveness depends on how well older adults engage with the technology.
