Seaweed and collagen pills tested as natural answer to aching knees
NCT ID NCT07318896
Summary
This study is testing whether daily supplements made from agar (a substance from red seaweed) and/or a type of collagen (UC-II) can help reduce knee pain and stiffness. It will involve 80 adults aged 40-70 who have mild to moderate knee pain but do not have a formal osteoarthritis diagnosis. Participants will take one of the supplements or a placebo pill daily for 12 weeks to see which is most effective.
