New drug hope for advanced skin cancer patients

Summary

This study tests whether the drug afatinib can shrink tumors in people with advanced squamous cell skin cancer that cannot be treated with surgery or radiation. About 25 adults will receive afatinib and be monitored for tumor response and side effects. The goal is to control the disease, not cure it.
