Scientists scan brains to unlock why therapy skills stop teen Self-Harm

NCT ID NCT06720753

Summary

This study aims to understand how two specific therapy skills help teenagers with a history of self-harm and suicide attempts. Researchers will teach 100 teens and a parent two different coping skills and track when and how they use them in daily life using phone surveys. The study will also measure brain activity, heart function, and family interactions to see what influences whether the skills are learned and used effectively to reduce self-harm risk.
