New study tailors mental health support for dementia patients and caregivers
NCT ID NCT07543341
First seen Apr 24, 2026 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 4 times
Summary
This study adapted a program called BECOME to help people with dementia or mild cognitive impairment and their caregivers manage chronic diseases like diabetes and high blood pressure, along with mental health issues like depression and anxiety. The researchers worked with a small group of 12 participants and an advisory board to make the program easy to use for those with memory challenges. The goal was to see if the adapted program was acceptable and practical, not to test if it works as a treatment.
