Electric acupuncture may ease pain during miscarriage procedure
NCT ID NCT06411054
First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026
Summary
This study tests whether a gentle electrical stimulation device (acu-TENS) can reduce pain during a procedure called manual vacuum aspiration, used to treat early pregnancy loss. About 108 women will be randomly assigned to receive real acu-TENS or a sham device. The goal is to see if acu-TENS provides meaningful pain relief and is safe.
