Summary
This study tested a 4-hour workshop based on acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT) to help women with obesity adopt and maintain healthy lifestyle behaviors. Fifty-two women participated, completing questionnaires and physical measurements before, one week after, and one month after the workshop. The goal was to see if the workshop improved psychological flexibility, distress tolerance, and valued living compared to a waitlist group.
