First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated Jun 17, 2026 · Updated 33 times
Summary
This study looked at 120 children and teens who had ACL surgery to repair a torn knee ligament. Researchers compared an older method (drilling across the growth plate) with a newer method that avoids the growth plate. They checked X-rays, knee function, and patient questionnaires to see which technique led to fewer leg length differences and better long-term knee health.
