Can extra tissue make ACL repairs stronger?

Summary
This study tests whether adding a patient's own muscle and bone tissue to standard ACL reconstruction surgery helps the new ligament heal better and faster. About 70 people with a torn ACL will be randomly assigned to get either the standard surgery or the enhanced version. Researchers will use MRI scans and knee stability tests over 12 months to compare results.
