Can a common drug slow brain tumors by changing metabolism?
NCT ID NCT07387666
First seen Feb 04, 2026 · Last updated May 22, 2026 · Updated 20 times
Summary
This early-phase study looks at how Acetadote, a drug that affects cell damage, changes metabolism in glioblastoma. Ten newly diagnosed patients will receive Acetadote before surgery, and researchers will measure metabolic changes using MRI scans and tumor tissue analysis. The goal is to understand if this approach could slow tumor growth, not to treat the disease directly.
