5-Day radiation could replace weeks of treatment for breast cancer

Summary
This study is testing a much shorter radiation schedule for women with early-stage breast cancer who have had a lumpectomy. Instead of radiation treatments spread over 3-6 weeks, this approach delivers all needed radiation in just 5 daily sessions. The main goal is to see if this shorter treatment is as effective at preventing cancer from returning, while also checking how it affects the breast's appearance and patients' quality of life.
