First seen Feb 24, 2026 · Last updated Jun 19, 2026 · Updated 23 times
Summary
This study looked at whether a 3D ultrasound device (Accuro) helps place epidurals for labor pain relief in women with severe obesity (BMI 40 or higher). The goal was to see if it reduces the number of needle sticks and improves success compared to the standard blind method. The study was stopped early, so results are limited.
