New 3D ultrasound could spot cancer in lymph nodes without a needle

NCT ID NCT05704283

First seen Jan 04, 2026 · Last updated May 20, 2026 · Updated 24 times

Summary

This study tests a new 3D ultrasound technology to see if it can better tell whether lymph nodes in breast cancer patients are cancerous or not. About 55 adults who already need a lymph node biopsy or have a clip placed will get this extra scan. The goal is to improve accuracy and possibly reduce the need for invasive biopsies in the future.
