New hope for tough-to-treat lung cancer: experimental drug enters final testing phase

Summary

This study is testing whether a new drug called ZL-1310 works better than current standard treatments for people whose small cell lung cancer has returned after initial therapy. About 480 adults whose cancer has progressed after platinum-based treatment will receive either the experimental drug or their doctor's choice of standard therapy. Researchers will compare how well the treatments shrink tumors, extend survival, and affect quality of life.
