New stent aims to keep leg arteries open longer
NCT ID NCT07122167
First seen Jun 25, 2026 · Last updated Jun 26, 2026 · Updated 1 time
Summary
This study is checking how safe and effective the ZENFLEX Pro drug-eluting stent is for people with peripheral artery disease (PAD) — narrowed or blocked arteries in the leg. About 153 adults with leg pain or sores will get the stent and be followed for a year. The main goal is to see if the artery stays open without needing another procedure.
What this could mean
Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only — not medical advice or a prediction.
- Active substance
- drug-eluting stent (coated with antiproliferative drug)
- What this could lead to
- If successful, this could confirm that the ZENFLEX Pro stent safely keeps leg arteries open longer, reducing the need for repeat procedures.
- What could go wrong
- This is an observational registry, not a randomized trial, so results may be less definitive. The stent may still fail to prevent re-narrowing in some patients.
