New stent aims to keep leg arteries open longer
NCT ID NCT07122167
First seen Jun 25, 2026 · Last updated Jun 26, 2026 · Updated 1 time
Summary
This study is checking how safe and effective the ZENFLEX Pro drug-eluting stent is for people with peripheral artery disease (PAD) — narrowed or blocked arteries in the leg. About 153 adults with leg pain or sores will get the stent and be followed for a year. The main goal is to see if the artery stays open without needing another procedure.
What this could mean
Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only — not medical advice or a prediction.
Active substance
drug-eluting stent (coated with antiproliferative drug)
What this could lead to
If successful, this could confirm that the ZENFLEX Pro stent safely keeps leg arteries open longer, reducing the need for repeat procedures.
What could go wrong
This is an observational registry, not a randomized trial, so results may be less definitive. The stent may still fail to prevent re-narrowing in some patients.
